By Brian Green This review is from: Best in Hollywood: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful (Paperback) I purchased this book last week from the man himself Mr. James Best when my 10 year old son & I met him at a 3 day car show event in Pa. Mr. & Mrs. Best were there & as warm & gracious as if they were family. The book was signed & plesantries spoken between us as I filmed our meeting, I even captured a time treasure on film when Jim looked into my camcorder & went right into his trademark Rosco P. Coltrane character much to me & my sons delight. I have never recommended a book in a review like this before but please do yourself a favor & pick up a copy of this wonderfully written, humorous, exciting, fascinating work of & by a truly talented man. A man that was born in the toughest of times in this Country, serving his Country honorably as a Patriot in WWII & then beginning a ride in the wild & sometimes crazy life as one of Hollywoods Greatest under rated actors of all time, which is where I first remember seeing Mr. Best in films & alot on television. I never thought this book would be the read it turned out to be, but I could not put this book down & I read it in 2 days. What an awesome man, & an awe inspiring life. May God Bless you always Jimmie Best!
