CHISHIMBA Kambwili says acting President Dr Guy Scott was right when he fired Edgar Lungu from his position as secretary general. In an interview, Kambwili, who is sports minister, said it was unfortunate that Lungu was failing to follow the rules which were agreed to when he was reinstated by Dr Scott. He said Dr Scott has the same powers the late president Michael Sata had over the central committee. “Even the firing of Lungu, the acting President was right but then we only protested because of the timing at that time. Let people respect Guy for once. Some of these people like Freedom Sikazwe should be ashamed of themselves for talking ill about [Dr] Scott because they were pleading to be adopted. I am disappointed with Edgar and his conduct of late. He is a good friend and I hold him in high esteem, but I am surprised with his conduct,” he said.
