COLOURS 42 A few minutes later the fishermans red boat was in the ocean again . He then rowed against surging waves until his arms were in pain . He inched further out into the wide Atlantic slowly drifting towards the island of Martinique . He looked back at seashore . It was volcanic by nature with such rugged exterior . The coast rose tall and steep into the mountains with a jungle that is dense and thick. As he moved further out he began to see more lights from the village houses that werent too far from the shore . He thought about their lives or what they were having for dinner . Fried ripe plantains with yellow passionfruit juice and fresh green lettuce ? Warm chocolate tea with a bayleaf flavour ? For a moment he got lost thinking of the aroma ...
