Volunteers will help create a warm and dignified environment where guests are able to get help meeting their basic needs of food, shelter and connection to a greater caring community. Volunteer training is scheduled for September 22, 29 and October 6, 20 at 6:00 pm at the Warming Center. We are also looking to fulfill these much needed items at the Warming Center. No clothing donations are needed this season (with the exception of the items below) as we are working with St. Vincent DePaul to meet our guests needs. Food Items: Pop-Tarts, apple sauce cups, fruit cups, crackers, soup crackers, soft/chewy fruit or granola bars, ketchup and mustard, cheese slices, string cheese, Kwik Trip cards to purchase milk, oj, bananas, eggs, butter and bread. Other Items: Hand and foot warmers, odor eaters and foot powder, ear plugs, disposable razors, mittens, gloves, hats: L – XL, ziplock bags: quart and gallon, garbage bags: 13 gallon & 22+ gallon, kleenex, laundry soap for HE washing machines, dryer sheets, cleaners - Mr. Clean, Windex, disinfectant cloths, toilet cleaner, dish soap, bleach, new men’s underwear: M to XL , new ladies underpants: S to XL and large backpacks.
