CYDS TIPS: Try grilled shrimp on a salad when dining out at a place that offers it! Its also a great source of lean protein and a nice change-up from grilled chicken or salmon. The key to ordering a salad as a meal is to make sure it contains a lean source of protein and that you skip things like cheese, croutons, chips (pita, tortilla) and most other crunchy additions and fattening dressings and concentrate on lots of veggies and a vinaigrette dressing, olive oil and a little balsamic or none at all. And if you switch up your lean protein source on your salad by trying things like grilled shrimp, you can keep your meals more interesting and be far less tempted to go astray!
