Call 511 from a telephone in NJ and youll get FREE Real Time Traffic Information from NJDOT Traffic Operations in New Brunswick. The call is interactive. You can request information on the roadway you are on, or will soon be on, and the system will verbally alert you of the conditions. The web site can be found at the URL shown below. You can set up a free account on the system and it will send free text messages to your cell phone with any advisories that may come up on the road or roads you select (messaging charges from your cellular service carrier may apply.) You can use this as a resource on your AM or PM commute. 511NJ covers the highways under NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, GS Parkway, and the AC Expressway.
