Can I be frank? Thats a rhetorical question. When my best - TopicsExpress

Can I be frank? Thats a rhetorical question. When my best friend moved to Melbourne, my second daughter was one-week old. She had severe gastric reflux, SCREAMED for 3 months, plus a host of other issues - in short, it was not a pretty time and involved PND and more. I watched her - my BFF - drive off with her family out of my driveway and I stood in my driveway for quite some time and BAWLED MY EYES OUT. She settled interstate, and then went through major crappy scenarios to do with losing babies, followed by majorly happy things - the birth of twins! (for which I dashed down and surprised her, thanks to my ex-husband organising a surprise trip for me, which I will never forget). Meanwhile, she met this new friend, Helen. Coincidentally, Helen had the same name as my ex-husbands new wife... There was a part of me who, at first, thought, NEW FRIENDS? Yes, I was envious. I was, and know how hypocrytical that is, given I also have new friends... and given I want what is best for my BFF. Tonight, Im in tears, because Helen (friend of BFF, not wife of ex-husband, though she has also been fab) sent me a message saying shes been looking after my BFFs children while they went to the airport to collect her BIL and is there anything she can do for me. For ME? Shes doing it! Shes representing the BFFs! Amazing woman. I love what shes doing. I love that she even thought to get in touch and ask that. What a friend... What a BFF. xxx
