Can Somebody, Anybody Please Make Femi Fani-Kayode Shut-Up -By Godson @dscribe Like most former political office holders in the country who are made mostly of hot air and not much substance, Femi Fani-Kayode a former Aviation minister under the Obasanjo administration is desperately seeking for relevance. By nature, he is an attention seeker, known to be a loud mouth spoiled brat from birth. Even the days when as Tourism minister he would demand freebies from hotels in Ikoyi to recently when he brought his affairs with numerous women to public fore. He always has his foot in his mouth like a rabid dog attempting to give his own paw a pedicure. Yet nobody can shut him up, he only recently called the President’s spokesperson a peasant. Just because Mr. Abati is not from a privileged background like himself. Femi is so ignorant, he does not see the timber in a man that started from the bottom and rose to the pinnacle of his career without the help of mommy, daddy, uncle and aunty. Femi is from the elitist class that has no understanding of the word ‘merit’. Obasanjo did not appoint Femi because Femi had a brain of note or the right academic qualifications, he appointed him due to the politics practiced in elitist circles. Nobody in their right mind would want Femi as a staff, employer or colleague. Femi the arrogant shooter of his mouth also recently questioned if the President had “balls”. Uncouth, crude, empty barrel always making the loudest noise whilst civilized people are trying to enjoy a meal. He then went on to posit that the President was allowing Boko Haram’s reign of terror to go unchecked so that 2015 would see the North excluded from the general elections due to the emergency rule and general situation of chaos. Femi, always trying to heat up the polity, even though his basic fathering and husbanding skills are under dispute. A man whose own household is in disarray is trying to remove the speck from Mr. President’s eye. Whilst every Nigerian thinks the President could do more to stop Boko Haram, nobody knows the extent of Mr. President’s efforts. However we do know that Boko Haram has been reduced to a terror group that hides in the forest and only comes out to kill the closest soft target like the cowards they are. In his latest ramblings Femi says Obasanjo did a good job and would never have allowed Boko Haram to cause this whole damage. Has Femi forgotten that Obasanjo’s tactics which include razing down entire villages a la Odi is not necessarily the most humane way to neutralize any group? Methinks before Femi opens his large hole to call the President incompetent or inept, he should ask himself: “What did I femi do to reform the aviation sector?” “What did I femi do to reform the tourism sector?” “How are those sectors faring now that I Femi have left government?” “Did they benefit from my tenure?” “Has another plane not just fallen from the sky?” “Did I divert public money to any of my girlfriends purses during my tenure?” If he answers those questions honestly and truthfully, maybe he will retire to a life of decency and decorum instead of shooting off from his wide mouth whenever PHCN restores light and he is able to work his laptop. The truth is Femi we need you to shut up please. Majority of the well meaning Nigerians in this country would like you to.
