Can any vets or experienced cat owners give me some clue about what may be wrong with my kitty and what screenings to ask for at the vet? Vivian is now 14 and for the past year she has been drinking a lot more water than normal (I have another 7 yr old cat and she doesnt drink or urinate nearly as much), so much that I have to change her litter about 3x as often as I do my other cats box. Last time I took her to the vet, he told me to wait until its cooler out because she may be drinking because of the heat. This isnt the case because she keeps at it in the winter, too. She used to be overweight (16.6 lbs, now closer to 14) but has been losing weight slowly and carefully with a diet plan. She has always been a vocal cat but doesnt seem to have pain during urination and has no other symptoms other than vomiting from time to time. Any ideas?
