Candidates for Ukiah City Council to Participate in Mock City Council Meeting: The Agriculture and Business Coalition announced today this it is hosting a unique Candidates Forum to be attended by the eight candidates running for Ukiah City Council. All eight candidates have agreed to attend the candidates forum. Unlike traditional question and answer forum, this Candidates Forum is unique because each candidate will be asked to take hypothetical votes on key local issues, such as transients and homelessness, public safety, smart growth, annexation, tax sharing and the Citys permitting process. As a special feature, the audience at the forum will also have an opportunity to vote on the issues so that Candidates get instant public opinion feedback. The event is a public service and hosted by the agriculture and Business Coalition. The ABC is organizing the event to provide an opportunity for the community to get to know more about the Citys future leaders. The ABC is a partnership of the Mendocino County Farm Bureau, North Coast Builders Exchange, North Bay Association of Realtors, and the Employers Council of Mendocino County. The ABC has invited Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman to moderate the event. The Candidates Forum is free, but seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. The event will run from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, September 4th at the Ukiah City Council Chambers, 300 Seminary Avenue in Ukiah
