Cant go just regular anywhere! On the way back to Hibernia from dinner tonight had to herd 6 horses on NC/VA 39 or Townsville Road. The horses would not leave the road. The stallion jumped up on the bank, didnt like the view and returned each time to the waiting 5 horses. We called for and got 2 state troopers en route. The horses escaped from Red Hill which used to be owned by Charles and Lindy Currin. Before long several folks and neighbors arrived. The horses went down McDuffie Road and finally turned towards home. As the Hibernia gate locks at 9:00 PM, we hurried on down the road to get back in time, when I HIT A DEER. Near Ivy Hill a small deer jumped into the road and I locked up that Ford F150! We felt the deer hit but later could not find any signs of damage. Strange. But I could not find the deer. We made the gate at 8:56, with time to spare. Did I mention Linda Timberlake and I had the wonderful seafood buffet at Ernies of South Boston, VA earlier before all that drama?
