Capitalism and Animal Rights cannot coexist! Capitalism assumes that animals can be owned, exploited, imprisoned, or murdered. That is the basis for the meat, dairy, egg and leather industries. It is the reason for horse and dog racing, bullfighting, aquatic parks, zoos and circuses. The idea that people can own animals and do almost anything they want to them is because of capitalism. Capitalism means Private Property! Capitalism is embraced by ALL Conservatives. And most moderates. Even many Liberals. But it is anathema to Animal Rights! Which is why Conservatives cannot support Animal Rights and still be Conservatives. It is why the Republican Party can never be acceptable to animal activists. And why the Democrats are the animals best hope. The Democrats arent ideal. They do have some Conservatives. There are some corporate sock-puppet Democrats. But the Democrats have Liberals! And Liberals have championed civil rights, womens rights, and gay rights. Animal Rights are next!
