Caps United line up more friendlies with Malawian clubs Caps United have lined up friendlies with Malawi based teams to get ready for the upcoming season. The Green Machine won the Zambezi Challenge Cup on Sunday in Malawi after beating Mighty Wanderers 1-0. Malawian import Ishmael Thandwa scored the solitary goal after being set by another new acquisition Pervington Zimunya. The tournament which started on Saturday featured four teams in total, with Malawian top sides Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers being the other teams which featured. Caps United are understood to have lined up matches with Silver Stars and Bullets FC likely in Lilongwe as they fine tune their preparations. The dates are yet to be confirmed and the team is expected back in Zimbabwe today before heading back to Malawi in the coming weeks. Caps UnitedTwine Phiri told Malawian media, ‘We still have time on our hands so we will play more friendlies” Phiri though said they would not be looking for more Malawian players to beef up their squad as they had exhausted their foreign quota. Already the team has two Malawian players on trial in Tsanzo Dalio and Ishmael Thandwa.
