Carlys tricks. Her new one, roll over, is at the end. It is easier for her to do it in the grass but we dont have a good camera set up for out there. Carly is a gem, believe me when I say that. She is an incredibly sweet and devoted dog that is looking for a home where she will be loved for the rest of her life. You see, this sweet girl has been shuffled around a LOT in her 4 1/2 years; between the shelter, a couple foster homes, her adoptive home and now back to foster care. Understandably she is a little insecure and doesnt rush right up to new people looking for affection. I think that is where people are turned off with her. She needs a few minutes to warm up to people, especially men, but once she does..... oh my, you have the best friend you could ask for! Carly loves giving kisses, having her bum scratched, fetching squeaky toys, going for walks, going for rides, cheese- I am sure you get the point. She is an all around great dog. She knows a fair amount of obedience commands as well as a couple agility ones and she knows some cute tricks, too. She is eager to please, to say the least. Carly loves her kennel and having one available to rest in. Carly is also house trained and has used a doggy door in her former home. She is great with kids, loves playing with other dogs and gets along well with the resident kitty as well. We have only heard her bark once the entire time she has been with us, though she does occasionally get super excited to see you and gives and adorable aroooorooo! We estimate Carly to be around 4 1/2 years old, about 50 pounds and a Smooth Collie mix. She is fully vetted; meaning she is microchipped, spayed, vaccinated and current on flea/heartworm prevention, she is also heartworm negative. If youre interested in meeting this lovely girl, please head to texassweetiesdogrescue.org for an adoption application. Filling out an application does not require you to adopt her, it is just the first step so we can set up a meet and greet together. She must be adopted in Texas.
