Case ID#: P1501150003 – Khmer Helps Khmer Life is an endless struggle. Even though our physical body is not completely normal, this is not our fault, but if we try to put so much pressure on the fate alone without making any difference toward ourselves as well as the society that it is a genuine mistake. Before we decide to choose the word, “If I ...” you may think of, “Have you tried your best yet?”. Mr. Chantha Bou, 39 is an unmarried man who works really hard by getting up early every morning, riding his bike around the street, looking for customers to get their shoes repaired/shine, making hardly enough to survive. He tries very hard not to beg people money but to earn what little income he can get by using his skills. Mr. Chantha has been deaf since he was a child. He communicates by writing Khmer and English or by using sign language. We first heard of the struggles that Mr. Chantha Bou was having through Facebook. It was then that H.E. Oknha Dr. Mengly J. Quach and Lok Chumteav Lyhong Quach asked our team to bring Mr. Chantha Bou in and offer him a job at the American Intercon Institute and School. In addition, His and Her Excellency have paid Mr. Chantha Bou medical expenses at the Mengly J. Quach Student Health Center. The Mengly J. Quach Foundation would like to congratulate Mr. Chantha Bou on his new job as a Maintenance Assistant at the School Autoshop of the American Intercon Institute and School.
