One of the disciples, John, the Evangelist, lays down as the personal and original witness, his experience of the Messiah, crucified but risen. It is well known that the original witnesses did not easily believe everything they heard or saw. Gradually, it is the Spirit, who helped and enabled them to see, understand and believe.
