Celebrating her 91st birthday today on Friday, August 15, 2014 is actress-singer Rose Marie, who is best fondly remembered as a featured regular on, amongst others, The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Hollywood Squares plus other TV game and scripted shows. Classic entertainment fans may remember that Rose Marie Mazetta (her full name at birth) began at age 3 in the business as a child star known as Baby Rose Marie. She would become famous on radio, featured in some the Vitaphone musical short subjects and in that classic 1933 film International House starring W.C. Fields. So, here is a true rarity I am presenting to you today on the occasion of her birthday. Its the Vitaphone musical sound short from 1929 titled The Child Wonder featuring at that time five year-old Baby Rose Marie singing in this short film.
