"Chaos theory sugests that systems naturally go to more complexity, and as they do so, these systems become more volitile and must expend more energy to maintain that complexity. As organizations expend more energy, they seek more structure to maintain stability. This trend continues until: The system splits Combines with another complex system Or falls apart entirely." So the bad news is it is unlikely that our country will make an about face BEFORE the bureaucrats drive it into the ground. The good news is my education will serve me well in my national leadership career. I will be taking the "Management as a Discipline" approach wich supports simplification and decentralization.
