I read it and read it over again. CHASE YOUR PASSION, NOT YOUR PENSION. The QUOTE spoke so much to me. Of course, at that point of my life I was working with the Ministry of Finance with the Federal Government. We, I mean most of us in the Government circle, so much trust the SECURITY of our pensions despite the fact that mass of workers can be sacked at anytime. When my mentor gave me this QUOTE, it was a PARADIGM SHIFT for me. I went through it again: CHASE YOUR PASSION, NOT YOUR PENSION. I was still pensive when my mentor spoke again MENTOR: I am not saying quit your job now. That will come in DUE TIME (he stressed the DUE TIME). But while you are still working now, 1. Decide what you want to do with your life. Decide on the PASSION you want to chase. I mean, decide on the contribution you want to make to life. The impact you want to make in an industry or niche. 2. Begin to make purchases of things (equipments, tools, books, etc) that you will need as soon as you are ready to chase your passion. 3. Increase your capacity from now. Attend seminars, go for trainings, find a coach in the area of your passion, look for mentors to study in that area, join associations or networks of people who are in that area, etc He stopped and took a sip from the glass of wine in front of him.
