Children News: The ages between 2 and 5 are often called the preschool years. During these years, children change from clumsy toddlers into lively explorers of their world (Web Med). What role does a parent have on children during these prudent stages? As parents, it is solely the responsibility of us to put books in our childrens hands to ensure their minds are being used for the purpose of establishing a connection with books, reading and parent involvement. We have our own answers for test scores being so low in Oklahoma for our children. Our answer is - buying books and associating those books with young toddlers so we can break the chains of poor habits and poor test scores. We must start between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. Ebony Moore, Author and Designer of Myas Books has created an affordable and fun way to teach our children the importance of reading. Myas (cartoon character), has a canning ability to get a childs attention and also teach those children basics about literature, shapes and numbers.
