Chilufya Tayali writes HARD TRUTHS ABOUT PF AND GOVERNANCE Today Zambia is in limbo not knowing which way we will go politically. But how did we get this far? 1. His Excellency Michael Chilufya Sata run PF as a small private company. Sata was equal to PF and vice versa. This is common to almost all the parties in Zambian apart from MMD 2. To win an election in 2011, Sata seem to have brokered deals with many wrong people which gave birth to the powerful cartel. Other politicians in opposition are doing the same even now. 3. After winning the elections Sata was captured by the cartel and made him hostage. He could not make independent decisions as a President in all circumstances. This will continue to happen among our leaders because they are too desperate for power without formulating ideas on how they will govern so others will govern them (leaders) while they govern us. 4. Sata was double-standard when it came to running PF. He could tell Wynter M. Kabimba, ODS, SC on thing and tell GBM another thing. In the end PF was divided and we are living in the aftermath of that divide and rule of Sata 5. PF thought Sata was immortal and never accepted that one day, like it happened on 28th October 2014, would come. They thought they were lying to Zambians about his illness but only them are paying the price. 6. Edgar Lungu was not ready for presidency when Sata died and still he is not. I doubt how mach of the actions attributed to Edgar Lungu are really his. 7. Guy Scott never bothered about power when Sata was alive but someone tipped him to go for it after the death of Sata capitalizing on the weaknesses of Lungu who is now dancing to what he lost 8. Does PF have a President like Sata now or they have a grade 1 in an over-sized Headboy uniform and a dully mocking and toasting him around? 9. Miles Sampa is like a courageous boy proposing marriage to an older married woman with a children older than himself. But my advise is that he (Miles) should not be under rated because he has the capacity to break the marriage even if he does not marry the elder woman. 10. Zambians should be thinking of constitutional issues such as; what will happen if these case are not resolved before 20th January 2015? ECZ is body that can be sued or sue, therefore an injunction can be raised against the election date, what would be the constitutional consequence of that in regard to Guy Scott as Acting President and the 90 days?
