Chris Fox posted to Air Canada I am completely astounded that Air Canada is holding our delayed baggage hostage at Chicago Ohare because you refuse to pay to have it couriered on the weekend. Considering our bags were delayed because you cancelled our US connecting flight while we were in transit over the Atlantic and we pretty much had to cry and beg for an hour to be booked on a flight home on Friday you would expect that Air Canada would try and make it right by actually delivering the bags that have been sitting in Chicago since 9am on Saturday morning (to Milwaukee). Instead it seems that your company policy is to stonewall and delay- my conversation with your baggage help line (overseas call center) only allowed for a promised email to be sent (not likely) even when escalated to the supervisor. I have had my bag lost many times in many years of international travel and ALWAYS had it delivered with many apologies within 24 hours. Apparently though Air Canada doesnt care about actually honoring their conditions of contract (not canceling flights mid travel and delivering baggage within an acceptable time frame). Air Canada: Hi Chris, were very sorry to hear of this. Or fixing the problem? A form email complaint system that clearly indicates not for urgent issues is just a social media FU. Meanwhile my work computer sits held hostage and Monday morning is soon upon us.
