Chris Nolan said he was always influenced by 2001 A Space odyssey (which in my opinion is the greatest scifi movie) and his Interstellar probably comes close..Its difficult to understand all the details but the way he portrays the topics as convoluted as spacetime warping, event horizon, singularity, warmholes, time travel, multi-dimensions, gravitational waves and future of mankind is simply mind-blowing. Rarely any mainstream director would dare to venture into such a Science heavy film (again barring Stanley Kubrick) and for that he deserves a huge credit!! P.S.
