Christmas Toy Drive Is Underway! “Christmas For Kids 2013” Toy Drive Begins: October 28th thru December 18th. The American Legion Post #37 has spearheaded the toy drive for 10 years and Chairman, Jim Ingland, estimates that over 400 children will signed up for the holiday program. This year we have 51 collection barrels in place around Fernley, for dropping off toys. Hopefully every child on our list will be able to open a gift on Christmas. 100% of the Toys collected from the Fernley locations will be distributed to those in need, here in Fernley and surrounding areas. ANY FAMILY in need of help can go to City Hall and fill out an application for their children on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 10am to 4pm Families in need of assistance can call 750-5823 or the American Legion at 560-5833 or 575-0420.
