Purpose of the job: To implement Human Resources strategies in order to support the Business Strategy Balanced Scorecard Pillars, Roles and Responsibilities: SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY • Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc. • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.) • Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department/Section through effective use of the Toolbox • Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to analyse, identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status Policies and Procedures: • Initiate and develop HR Policies, Procedures, Standards, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, etc. • Manage implementation of all protocols consistently throughout the group CUSTOMERS Customer Relations: • Maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders • Measure customer satisfaction within a business unit and recommend corrective action • Ensure customer satisfaction Suppliers Relations: • Maintain and improve relationships with key suppliers BUSINESS PROCESSES Policies and Procedures: • Initiate and develop HR Policies, Procedures, Standards, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, etc. • Manage implementation of all protocols consistently throughout the group HR Legislation: • Comply with the relevant HR Legislation (Labour Relations Act, EE Act, Skills Development Act, etc.) Provide information and advice regarding legislation that may impact employment issues Reward and Remuneration: • Conduct bi-annual Remuneration Surveys on all employees in the Group and make recommendations • Compile and monitor the Bonus and Annual Increase timeline for Group • Audit Bonus recommendations from BUs and HODs • Source Wage settlement surveys bi-annually Employee Benefits: • Ensure compliance to all the appropriate legislation in the remuneration of employees to limit any taxation liabilities by the organisation or individuals • Comply with all statutory requirements pertaining to the Payroll • Continuously evaluate Samancor benefits and conditions of employment with the national and international market to determine trends, and recommend changes accordingly • Establish and maintain a network with Remuneration managers in the mining industry nationally and internationally to enable effective access to Remuneration information • Analyse, recommend and implement increases on an annual basis in line with national market movements and individual performance • Advise on Package Structuring: o Package Modelling o Motor Vehicle o Housing Medical Aid Schemes: • Manage the administration processes between participation Business Units and Service Providers • Continuously benchmark the Medical Aid Scheme with industry Payroll • Submit and maintain records of E-band Payroll to Deloitte and handle all queries • Capture all Corporate employees input onto SAP for payroll processing • Capture monthly payroll inputs into spreadsheet and maintain for audit purposes • Run Simulation payroll, check payslips for correctness and approval • Liaise between Deloitte and Scr finance department to ensure salary payment, third party transfers, provision and costing reports • Handle all payroll and benefits queries (salary, medical aid. Pension, provident fund, leave, company car etc.) • Comply with all statutory requirements pertaining to the payroll SAP • Maintain Master data for Corporate personnel and Group E-band Managers • Maintain Org Structure on SAP • Maintain Training and Events Job Evaluation: • Monitor current knowledge levels of internal grading system to ensure the training of line managers • Coordinate the grading of new Job Profiles and regrading of existing Job Profiles as required • Develop, plan and deliver workshops and information sessions • Provide technical advise and support to the Business Units Recruitment and Selection: • Process letter of appointment/regret letters • File appropriate documentation • Compile employment contracts • Conduct interviews when required Education, training and Development • Compile and submit the Corporate office Workplace Skills Plan • Coordinate Individual Development Plans for corporate employees Exit process: • Prepare and conduct exit interviews (D Band and Corporate office) and report findings • Administer the employee exit processes • Ensure completion of all necessary documentation on termination of employees’ service (exit medical, record of service etc.) Bursary and Graduate Development Programme: • Manage the Graduate Development Programme Employee Study Assistance: • Coordinate Study Assistance for all E-Band and Head Office employees • Maintain and update study records Study Assistance • Coordinate Study Assis Job Ref: Human Resources Superintendent (General) - Chrome Mining Industry Hours: Monday - Friday Location: Steelpoort, South Africa Working Term: Permanent Salary: Negotiable Application Deadline: 26/11/2013 justthejob.co.za/info_jobid_240637.html?utm_source=Indeed&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign
