Cleo was diagnosed with an inner ear infection the morning of Dec - TopicsExpress

Cleo was diagnosed with an inner ear infection the morning of Dec 4th. She came down with symptoms within 3 hours (head tilt, eyes flicking & circling). We rushed her to the vet as soon as we seen these symptoms. Our vet assessed her & knew right away it was an inner ear infection from the way her eyes were flocking back and fourth along with an exam of her ears. Her prescribed her penicillin injections & diazepam. The penicillin is given as injections. For the first two weeks we give them every second day with a recheck at the two week mark which will be this Thursday (Dec 18th). Then we will be given instructions for how often to give the injections for the next 4 weeks (which makes a 6 week treatment) with a recheck again. The diazepam was to help keep her relaxed during the scary time (when she was rolling which lasted about 48 hours after her first injection). I have been taking pictures of her everyday to keep an eye on her tilt progress along with videos. Attached are the pictures - 1 everyday from Dec 4th till today which makes 12 days so far. She has come such a long way from rolling in a padded laundry basket to back to living in her bunny condo with Mr. Toes
