Clicker training, using a bridge to mark the desired behavior, is not something that can only be used on warm-blooded social animals like mammals and birds. Ive trained lizards with high food requirements (leopard geckos and monitors to be specific), to respond to verbal cues. Snakes cannot be trained this way, as they tend to eat a single large meal slowly, then rest afterwards. Lizards and crocodillians will happily and quickly consume multiple little meals. Many small meals means more chances to reward the desired behavior. Here is a monitor lizard trained to go to a target.
