Color me insensitive, but I am so tired of hearing the media - TopicsExpress

Color me insensitive, but I am so tired of hearing the media trying to humanize the Liberian idiot who brought over the gift that keeps on infecting. I cant even turn on NPR in the mornings, without having to hear another chapter-or an interview, that supposedly adds to this insane story. This poor man.. He had no clue.. He was only helping a poor pregnant woman.. Blah, blah, blah.. Seriously? He had no clue he had been exposed? When youre in a country where Ebola is trending more than celebrity gossip, you go ahead and assume that it could be anywhere. You cover your ass, so to speak. If Ebola is rampant and I see you lying on the sidewalk, you can rest your weary head knowing in your heart that youll still be lying there tomorrow, because Im not touching you. After all, at some point we have to start saying, Screw this, I have myself and a family to protect. And the timing of his arrival was an amazing stroke of coincidence, wasnt it? Instead of all of this feeling dribble, why dont we use this as an opportunity to set the bar in place? Lets send him to the IS and let him infect them. Or maybe-as someone suggested, shoot every infected foreigner that decides to bring it here, on live television, so that other idiots wont get any bright ideas, like this winner. Harsh? Of course. But you have to remember, what you allow-will continue. So perhaps I am a wee bit insensitive, or maybe I havent had my caffeine quota for the day. Either way, I will never feel sorry for the moron who gave Ebola a free ticket to freedom in the US.
