Community/School covered up! The Tiger Pride mural was covered up. This year the mural would have celebrated 29 years of being implemented by students, community residents, and local artists. The local tagging crews achieved their goal by destroying it, causing some people to punk others to have it covered up. For those who truely know me, you know my passion is working with youth regardless if their gang members, stoners, skaters, and taggers. Painting murals, curating youth art exhibits, providing paints,canvas, paper, aerosol cans, to make things happen to help them help themselves is what I do. I know today is a new day and the work to reach out to youth and educate them about the importance of public art/murals is priority. Without murals taggers will continue be lost souls, tagging on murals only makes them famous for a little while...lol I need to hear your opinion!
