Community Workshop: Pilbara Coast Recreation Education and Community Engagement Project Members of the local and business community are invited to participate in a community forum looking at opportunities to manage the Pilbara coastline. The forum is proposed for Tuesday 18 June at Onslow Sports Club, Lot 535 Third Avenue, Onslow WA; the will a day workshop at 10am-12pm and an evening workshop at 7-9pm Rangelands NRM have initiated the Pilbara Coastal Recreation and Community Education Project to map the current status of issues, planning, projects, and gaps to ensure that the Pilbara community and vistors to the region are able to continue to enjoy the cultural and environmental values of the region, and that those values are able to be enjoyed by future generations. We are aware that a substantial body of work is being undertaken and is proposed, and we appreciate your participation in this workshop - see attached - to assist in identifying projects, priorities and future funding targets. This information will contribute to a strategic regional investment in groundworks and programs and are outside the capacity or priorities of agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to adequately fund. It will enable a regional approach to maximise outcomes. We look forward to your contribution.
