Concept a keyboard with gesture support Experts from the research division of Microsoft decided to rethink a little human interaction with the keyboard and have developed a new input method, which is called Type-Hover-Swipe. Microsoft engineers demonstrated the prototype of a mechanical keyboard that is able to recognize gestures in close proximity. The secret lies in the fact, that between the keys installed the infrared distance sensors, which form a matrix of low resolution. The idea is very interesting, it will allow harmoniously combine two different input method – flipping pages and rescale is much easier with the help of gestures, and for entering characters until you come up with anything better than a conventional keyboard. However, such a device is likely will require frequent cleaning.
