Confirmed: Eight of 15 persons have now been charged after they were held last week in connection with breaches of the Lottery Scam act following an operation by MOCA along with US law enforcement officials in western Jamaica. Those charged with breaches of Law Reform (Fraudulent Transaction) (Special Provisions) Act, are: 19-year-old Jermaine McKenzie, a 46-year-old helper of a Belmont, St. James address, Sharon Anderson, 30-year-old farmer Lasharue Shaw o/c Dwayne Shaw, and 26-year-old Lascianne Shaw, 26-year-old Mario Campbell, 29-year-old Jomio McCleod, 42-year-old Joseph Cunningham, and 40-year-old Antoine Wright. All eight will appear in the MoBay RM Court on July 16. The other persons held have since been processed and released.
