Confrontation The ‘Occupy’ situation is heating up. Why - TopicsExpress

Confrontation The ‘Occupy’ situation is heating up. Why are the police pushing the protesters who are assembling peacefully? For reasons of bureaucratic expedience (Inner Weasel) city employees at various sites are calling in the riot squad to disperse the protesters. Good! Why would I say that? When they have to move you on it’s because they can see you standing there reminding them of their guilty secrets and warped sense of human dignity. After they’ve gassed you and stared you down who can blame the youth of the streets for tossing rocks? The indignity of a rubber bullet or face full of tear gas is hard to take when you’ve just tried to right society’s wrongs by peaceful protest. So the riot police show up and form a shield wall advancing on the protesters until they are face to face. Now the scene is right for tensions to snap and a riot to ensue. Did the riot happen because the police brought the ingredients? City hall will indignantly inform us that in their august opinion the protesters had to go to make way for some event or other and the police were there to insure a peaceful transition. (Is that why they’re so confrontational?) Once they’ve managed to get you so uptight that you throw something, they’ve won and it’s now all your fault that you’re getting pounded and impounded. The fact we all must face is that they will use any weapon in the arsenal to keep those dollars flowing up. If riots don’t stop us then perhaps a war might after all it is what they do isn’t it? The first weapon is a claim of ignorance; “We don’t know why they are protesting. They aren’t saying what they want.” Crapola friends, they know perfectly well what we all are after. If they weren’t worried then they’d just ignore the protestors and soon they’d all filter off when the weather got cold or they ran out of money. Have you noticed how they first show us how noble we all are camped out nice and fresh on the legislature lawn and then later the view is changed to one of pathetic hopeless people sitting there with hand-printed signs. (I mean let’s face it eh, if these guys had their act together they’d at least’ve printed some decent placards don’t’cha think?) Examine the angles used by the camera to belittle the protestors and ask yourself, “Is my hero on stage or on their knees?” Watching riot footage I have seen how a trained group of protestors could take charge of the situation and contain the police with relative ease but for the use of deadly force. How then would it go if the protestors showed up in helmets and gas masks toting baseball bats? They would now feel justified in calling in the tanks and militia saying that ‘armed groups’ are disrupting and we could change our name to dictatorship. Try to remember; they have more to lose than we do, we have the right but they have the guns for ‘protection’ and we haven’t applied due process to address our complaints. This event is happening on a global scale because enough people have recognized the feudal state the world is in and wish to change the direction we are heading. There is a faint glimmer of hope. If we take our services away and make them pay us what they are getting paid they might respect us more for standing up for ourselves but we’ll have to find a way past their corrupt system first. Never give up, never quit, demand democracy and spread the word.
