Congratulations are in order for these local kids: Castro Martial Arts and Cardio Kickboxing of Tracy boasts two new champions following the San Francisco National Karate Challenge, held Saturday at El Camino High School in San Francisco as part of the California Karate Championships series. Taylor Pruett 11 who lives in Madera but trains in Tracy with Team Castro three days a week ,won first place and Grand Champion in the 11-and-under girls point sparring at the event. Her teammate Alejandro Alamilla, 11, won first place and Grand Champion in the 11-and-under boys point sparring. Their instructor, Julio Castro, 27, also gained top honors on Saturday with first place and Grand Champion awards in the 18-and-over men’s black belt
