Congratulations to India and US on commercializing the Civil Nuclear Deal that was stuck for 6 years now . Manmohan Singh must be feeling vindicated today . It was completely his brainchild during UPA 1 and we certainly need to give it to him . Unfortunately he could not take it to its logical conclusion due to political compulsion ( Sonia and congress simply did not support him in UPA 2 ) . To me this a brilliant step towards a true global partnership that will help to shape east Asia in 21st century. It will balance power in Asia . It will help India prosper . It is a real transformation point in Indo US relationship that really started with Narsinhma Rao opening the economy and peaked in UPA 1 , legged in UPA 2 and taken a flight again from September 14. ( Modi Visit to US ) 2/ Prime Minister has demonstrated Political astuteness , statesmanship . 3 / PM Modis equity of being a doer has been again endorsed . The tone was set in September and things started moving after that only to get concluded today. A nice republic day gift by Americans to India. Business will talk tomorrow ..
