Congratulations to Jason Correia who won our Tell Us a Story to Win Jason Aldean tickets contest! We were blown away by the quantity and quality of the entries. They made us laugh, and a few brought tears. Thanks, all of you for taking the time to enter. We hope you had fun! Here now, is Jasons true story: I grew up in a HICKTOWN in Southeastern CT where there are more cows than people. When I first met my wife I thought, damn SHE’S COUNTRY! I said, “WHY don’t you hop in my truck because I wanna TAKE A LITTLE RIDE WITH YOU?” We used to tear this place up and left TATTOS ON THIS TOWN just like it left its marks on us. A few years after we got together, I decided to become a Marine and we got married. I’ve always wanted to serve my country since 1994 when I was just a boy listening to Joe Diffie comin out my radio. I deployed twice to Afghanistan and our theme song should have been DIRT ROAD ANTHEM because those were the only kinds of roads out there. I served with an Engineer unit conducting security. The heavy equipment operators would take a ride on a BIG GREEN TRACTOR and it was my job to make sure they were safe. On Thanksgiving Day in 2010, my convoy was attacked and an IED detonated behind my vehicle that blew my eardrum and gave me a concussion. It felt like I was in a burning ring of fire like JOHNNY CASH said. It was definitely not MY KIND OF PARTY. After I got out of the Marine Corps, I had a lot of trouble adjusting. I owe my life to the woman I married. When things get tough, she can calm me down WHEN SHE SAYS BABY. My wife and kids are my reason for holding on. Every day I try to be the best father and husband to my family because they deserve the best and THAT’S THE ONLY WAY I KNOW.
