Congratulations to my good friends and colleagues Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks and Rep. Larry Bucshon, who were appointed to serve on the important House Committee on Energy and Commerce in the next Congress. Having one member from your state on this important committee is a big deal, so having two Hoosiers serving on Energy and Commerce is extremely good news for Indiana. Because that committee and the Ways and Means Committee on which I serve both have some jurisdiction over health care and various aspects of the economy, I’m looking forward to teaming up with both Larry and Susan to ensure Indiana’s interests are protected when it comes to major issues like taxes, regulations, and Obamacare. The synergies we’ll be able to find between the two committees should be incredibly beneficial for the entire state.
