Congressman Reid Ribble said it may take US combat troops to fight the major terrorism threat that ISIS poses to America and, if that required a declaration of war, he would expect to vote for it. In a WisconsinEye candidate interview, the two-term Republican also said Americans are “less safe” from terrorists than four years ago, when he was first elected. “I’m more concerned about security in the homeland than ever before,” Ribble said, “ISIS is a real threat.” Ribble, who is seeking re-election in the 8th Congressional District, said he based his assessments on “classified briefings” that he is not allowed to discuss publicly.
