Conquering the Spirit of Inferior Many Christians wrestle with - TopicsExpress

Conquering the Spirit of Inferior Many Christians wrestle with the spirit of inferior for many different reasons. We have been told we will never be anybody, will not succeed, we are too big or too little, not pretty enough, the color of your skin, too short, not enough education, don’t drive a prestigious car, don’t live in the up-scale subdivisions, from the wrong family or cultural upbringing etc… None of these things defines who you are! No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NLT) These are crippling, and devastating words of discouragement and very hurtful. Accepting these hurtful words can be a barrier from healthy relationships and cause discontentment. However there is a cure, healing for the feelings of Inferiorities, and that is our salvation, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and becoming a “new creation” through Him. We are who God says we are. We can do what God says we can do. And we can have what God says we can have. Listen my brother and sisters: Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:2 This is a process and we must be patient. We must get a clear understanding what God expects of us. Sometimes we are hard on ourselves because of slow progression, and setting higher standards than what God has for us, (instant maturity). Of course, God wants us to become full-grown and reflect His image and likeness, but He doesn’t expect it overnight. When you see yourself as God sees you, you will conquer the spirit of inferior.
