Cool wet cloths and remembered a fuzzy blanket in the van from last stay. I havent wanted to post this... Had to tell Stella Saturday and Nigel we spoke to last night as well as family... Stella again has MRD - minimal residual disease. Less Cancer in her body than in October but its still there. We are in a balancing act of caring for lungs (no official results yet), her liver (whose enzymes were at one point 14 times too high and are now better than that) and now Shingles... It all has to be managed if not fixed to be able to take her to Sloan-Kettering for the TCells Trial that are now ready and engineered to seek out her specific Cancer cells that are resistant to Chemotherapy. Receiving back these TCells will be tough and she will get high fevers but she needs to clear out the Leukemia prior to Transplant (at Roswell Park ) and those TCells are an important part of the puzzle. I feel your prayers and I pray myself that she has comfort wrapped around her body to heal all her ails and help to get her to treatment in NYC before the Cancer grows back again. Right now she can have chemo to hold off the Leukemia from growing inside her. We wait, pray and be thankful for the caring nurses and doctors in the Peds department here at Roswell Park who are working to get her there. Hug your loved ones tight and enjoy the joys of family and friends this holiday season. Just keep swimming Stella Louise! 🐠🐟🐠
