Corporations are a government created system of doing business. Corporate filing only exists to re-distribute responsibility away from the business owners. Government created it as a way to boost the economy and make the process of entering into business easier. Since then, it has spiraled out of control with corporate entities getting all the freedoms to interact with government as an individual without being responsible for any blowback. Ex: auto/bank bailout. One hand washes the other. And the real individuals get screwed out an actual free market system.
