County Announces CEO Review Committee Spokane County Chief Executive Officer Marshall Farnell has announced plans to retire this year. To ensure an open and transparent recruitment process, the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) has established a Review Committee of seven community and business leaders: • Doug Cochran – Chief of Staff, Washington State Auditor’s Office and former Yakima County Administrator • Elaine Couture – Regional Chief Executive, Providence Health Care, Eastern Washington • Jack Heath – President & COO, Washington Trust Bank • Christine Johnson, PhD – Chancellor, Community Colleges of Spokane • Tom Johnson – President & CEO, Spokane Teachers Credit Union • Kris Mikkelsen – CEO, Inland Power (retired) • Jeff Phillips – President & CEO, Rosauers Supermarkets Recruitment for the position will remain open until the Review Committee begins to interview applicants in March or April. The Review Committee will rank and recommend their top candidates to the Board of County Commissioners. The BoCC will then schedule interviews that will be advertised and open to the public.
