You peddle in influence and debate with your fellow players using a combination of actual theological argument and in-game social and military threats. I tried to push a weird mix of Orthodox, Apollonian and Gnostic creeds, but ended up stripped of most of my influence when my Patriarch of Alexandria died excreting his vitals.
