Cyril Meir Scott was an English composer born on 27 September 1879. He was often called the English Debussy because of the impressionistic feel of his works. This apparently shows a lack of understanding of both Scott and Debussy, (although in the piece I am sharing with you I can see how he got that name). Scott wrote around 400 pieces, many of them short songs and piano pieces, but also some full symphonies, operas, concertos, overtures and a lot of chamber music.
