*DEBIT CARD TRANSACTION FRAUD ALERT* Easthampton Savings Bank takes your financial security seriously and is taking action to protect your account against a recent increase in fraudulent debit card transactions. For your protection, all debit card transactions over $50 in states other than MA and CT will require you to use your PIN to gain approval. In addition, transactions at the following types of merchants will temporarily require a PIN for approval in ALL States, including MA & CT: Home Supply Warehouses such as Home Depot and Lowes, grocery stores and supermarkets and hobby stores such as Toys “R” Us. If ESB suspects your card is being used for fraudulent transactions we will call you to confirm whether the transaction is valid or not. If we cannot reach you we will temporarily block your card from processing transactions.
