DELTA 2015: OLOROGUN OTEGA EMERHOR (APC) AND CHIEF GREAT OGBORU (LP) TO MEET UPU YOUNG WING TOMORROW. All Progressive Alliance (APC) Delta Governorship Candidate, OLorogun Otega Emerhor and Labour Party candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, will be having interative session with the Executives of the Youth Wing of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), tomorrow December 21. The event is a preamble to other selection strategies put in place to enable UPU make far reaching decisions that will endorse one of the candidates as Urhobo Nations consensus candidate for the 2015 Governorship elections. The interactive session will afford the governorship candidates the opportunity to present their manifesto and road map towards total victory if endorsed by the leadership of the UPU. The outcome of tomorrows interaction will be conveyed to the President General and the Exco of UPU as an input to be considered in the selection process. Olorogun Otega Emerhor of the APC is a Board Room expert and sound corporate personality. His wealth of experience in the corporate world will no doubt give him an edge in the selection process. Emerhor is financially stable, reliable, dependable and currently the Vice Chairman of Standard Alliance Insurance Plc. He is also the Chairman/CEO of chains of businesses in other sectors of the Nigerian economy. The APC Governorship candidate has done so much to promote and sustain the Urhobo Nations interest and have empowered numerous youths across the state which is why he is essentially at an advantage to receive an overwhelming endorsement by UPU. Another factor that is working possitively for Emerhor is the national spread of the APC, which is today the second largest party in terms of membership. APC is no doubt the alternative national political party in Nigeria as a result of its spread, national reach and substantial presence in terms of legislators at the National Assembly. These enviable qualities places the party and its Delta Governorship candidate, Olorogun Emerhor in a better position to be adopted by the UPU. Olorogun Emerhor told Journalist yesterday at Uvbiamughe during UPUs Congress that he will double the performances so far recorded in APC States in the area of education, health, good road network across the state, youth/women empowerment, promotion of Urhobo Culture and tradition through cultural festivals via the Ministry of Culure and Tourism, a superb turn-around infrastructural development, among others. The event of tomorrow will attract media mention and political correspondents in Delta State are expected to be in attendance.
