DEO Bla convenes election meet BARAMULLA, MARCH 14: A meeting of AROs and Sectoral Officers was held under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Baramulla, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone here today. The meeting was informed that about 600 EPICs are being provided to the concerned Tehsildar for its distribution among the voters so that they can exercise their franchisee in the forthcoming Lok Sabah elections. The District Election Officer asked the concerned to accelerate their pace of work to complete the EPICs process so that maximum voters are made able to cost their vote. He stressed for completion of making EPICs for service and migrant voters as any as possible, enabling them to participate in the election. He said that 93.64 percent of the EPICs have been papered so far and rest 6.36 percent would be completed shortly in the district. He also directed he concerned to furnish the report with regard to damage of polling stations due to heavy snowfall, so that immediate steps are taken in this behalf. He impressed upon the officers to coordinate which each other in order to ensure free, fair and impartial elections in the district.
