DESCHENES, Joseph Richard - suddenly at home on Thursday, March 20th, 2014 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (Mitts) Deschenes. Loving father of Larry Deschenes (Lynda) of Kingston, Karen Bradley (Brian ) of Mississauga, Marie Parry (Brian) of Courtice and Michelle Wakefield (Phil) of Mississauga. Also remembered by his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Nora Dube of Ville LaSalle, QC and the late Vermetta Collins, Reva Deschenes and Roderick Deschenes. A proud and devoted member of the Knights of Columbus; he served as Grand Knight and District Deputy. Richard is retired from the Ministry of Finance and the Trenton Fire Department. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peters Church, Trenton on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon and Celebration of Life at the Knights of Columbus at noon. Father Timothy Harrison officiating. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
