DID YOU KNOW: Although more expensive, FORD 80 bit keys - TopicsExpress

DID YOU KNOW: Although more expensive, FORD 80 bit keys (usually marked with an SA where the metal meets the plastic) are compatible with both 40 bit PATS and 80bit PATS systems? I have found a source to obtain these blanks for only 7.48 each at Key Code Pro keycodepro/ For those of you who, like me, have become tired of telling the same old people the same old thing (you need a minimum of 2 keys to install a new controller) this can save you a lot of headaches out in the field. Also, consider that the dealership is absolutely raping people for the cost of PATS keys. You may as well get that $$$ and take advantage of the system. Key cutting machines are pretty cheap as you can get a pretty descent unit on Craigs list for less than a hundred bucks. I just found an Ilco 027A unit, brand new for 80 bucks on my local Craig s List. This is not a very glamorous machine, but easy to use, about the size of a small loaf of bread and can net you THOUSANDS of dollars and save you hundreds of hours making dupes for your customers who need new keys. Here in the Detroit area, Chrysler SKIM and SKREEM cars, GM Circle Plus and PK3, and Ford PATS keys are my most popular needed items. Being able to pump these out may make you a bunch of $$$$ as the blanks for these keys are DIRT CHEAP on line!
