DR. OKEZIE IKPEAZU, A DESPERATE FRAUD ----- Electoral fraud can only produce quashokored leadership, carried out with a greedy intent of ensuring a secured but personal “Vested Interest.” The electorates and stakeholders are never happy knowing that their electoral and democratic rights are stolen. Violence is one of the reactions to electoral fraud manipulation. In Abia State, the people are not happy with the way their so loved political party (PDP), which have lead the State for the past 11years, manipulated the electoral process at the party primaries. The chief Executive of the State swore to ensure, he imposes his choice on the people.Hence, engage in all manner of electoral fraud. Abia State electoral process was never transparent, fair or credible to make the peoples’ votes count or to genuinely reflect their democratic mandate. No matter the cultural shape of electoral fraud or whatever the violent reactionary dimension it may assume, what has become fixed in the conceptual framework of electoral best practices is that electoral misconduct and corruption are considered to be morally unacceptable. Worst still, it is height of absurdity, when the party elites, turn a blind eye to such massive rigging and electioneering cowardry enshrined in impunity because they have been weakened, manipulated by certain Political scum, whose vested interest; is all they hold to chest. Any government based on the principles of misconduct will be unstable, chaotic and tyrannical, since it operates by caprice, and the society it controls will be correspondingly unstable. In a properly conducted government, “a democracy”, such a state of affairs will be ruled out. Democracy is government by laws. With standing electoral guidelines, that produces results that only reflect the people’s genuine democratic mandate. However, the passionate drive of Governor T.A Orji, to cover up lots of in-appropriations has given exposure to Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu’s desperate fraud. The ruling People’s Democratic Party seems to be encouraging fraud within its internal democratic mechanism. Obviously, this is consuming members’ interest, and has very well fertilized defection, to an alarming magnitude. And if this act, as they very well know, is not addressed within the National Working Committee, it can give room to shameful disaster. Days ago, the Abia State Governor ran to Abuja PDP National Secretariat, with his puppet Dr. Ikpeazu Okezie, after they have succeeded in engraving the anger of Barr. F.N Nwosu,one of the gubernatorial aspirants, challenging the irregularities of the PDP primaries and the candidacy of Dr. Ikpeazu Okezie,to a plaque. Knowing the effects of subsequent suit during the general elections, they ran to collect and refill a new interest and nomination forms, removing all the forged certificates and tax payment certificate. Using tax payer’s money, to heavily fund this supposed secret deal. Meanwhile, the submission is long over and not only that, they also connived with the Tax Office to back date the tax records of Dr. Ikpeazu, to reflect as it should be. These were tax payment Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu refused to remit as at when due, but evaded this tax payment and for so many years. Just only to be awaken to the realities of compliance now the opportunity surfaces. The question is; why is PDP this crooked and corrupt? Where is transparency? Where is the Presidency? Is this not criminal? Tax evasion and alteration of official documents, duly filled and signed, is a criminal offence. Are they not aware that copies of the already submitted nomination and interest forms are already at the public domain? Doom awaits this inept. If the Governor must impose a candidate, he should have atleast considered records, credibility, and acceptance. This particular Choice of Governor will finally murder, the already limping Abia. Other fraudulent issues that will challenge Dr. Ikpeazu’s Candidacy includes as follows:- • Fraudulent PDP Electoral Process • Tax Evasion • Certificate Forgery(NYSC) No record of Service • Notoriety and Heading of Secret Cult, During His University Days • Arms Running With Some Abala-Ngwa Gun running Ring(case with the Police) • Misappropriation of ASEPA Funds. ASEPA was used, as a conduit pipe to launder funds to foreign accounts in the USA, England and other parts of the World. • Siphoning the agency’s funds through his company “ Okey Technical Ltd” Can anybody who part-took in the aforementioned be considered as patriotic and competent enough to drive the leadership of a State? NO! Why is PDP joking with their chances and choices? Why should they allow ineptitude to thrive in their midst, because of mere Ghana-must-go kick back. In an era when the power of the pen and social media can bring down a powerful man or Party and lift up an irrelevant man to the sky, we owe ourselves self restraint never to wield such power without a dose of conscience. As such, we can only do our best to pursue uprightness. The Doctorate degree of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is also in doubt. And every mystery around him shall, and must be unraveled in the coming days.
